Product Description

Why use perforated plate? Consider the advantages:

Screen Life – special alloyed steel provides wear resistance to outlast any oil-tempered wire cloth.

Less Down Time – this means fewer change outs during production which are extremely costly.

Ease of Maintenance – perforated screens will not stretch so no re-tensioning is required during service life of the screen.

Screen Frame Protection – blanked areas are designed and engineered into perforated to protect screen support frame.

Greater Choice – round, hexagon, square or slotted; straight or staggered centers; precise, flexible configuration and virtually infinite patter possibilities.

Wider Material Thickness Range – wide range of thickness for each opening size. Bar width and plate thickness can be separately specified to attain desired open space while maintaining increased wear life.

Excellent Screening Efficiency – perforations are staggered in direction of flow. The percent of open area of perforated screen plate equals or exceeds the percent of open area in wire cloth in many cases.

Resistance to Plugging – screen plate features clean walled, conical, closely and uniformly spaced perforations. This results in a minimum of blinding, because material is always passing through a progressively larger opening.

Maintenance of Sizing Accuracy – since screen plate is a single unit there is no wire movement which would interfere with sizing accuracy as the screen wears through.

Greater Bulk/Less Breakage – greater effective cross-sectional area compared to wire cloth screen. This translates into greater screen life with no open area reduction.

Fewer Wear Causes – perforated screen plate and wire cloth wear from material passing over and through the screen. Wire cloth also wears from wires rubbing each other at junction points.

Greater Strength/Equivalent Weight – perforated screen plate and wire cloth with similar open areas have negligible weight differences.
